Monday, November 7
7:00pm – 10th Grade College Night Franklin Theater
John and Breda will offer a preview of the college counseling process, a process that will begin officially in January of the junior year. Topics include: the role of reflection, clarifying a student’s goals and values, translating what has worked at Waynflete into college search criteria, meeting with the counselors, how and when to schedule campus visits, standardized testing, and more. While students are not required to attend this informational session, they are welcome to do so.

Tuesday, November 8

Election day – you will have an opportunity to vote electronically in the mock election sponsored by the current events activity group. Be sure to check your email.☺

Wednesday, November 9
7:00 p.m.
Franklin Theater

Please join us at a screening of “Just Eat It,” a documentary film about food waste and food rescue.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local farmers, grocers, and members of the social service and nonprofit communities who will share their perspectives on the issue of food waste.

Friday, November 11

Veteran’s Day — no school

The annual All-School Thanksgiving Food Drive has begun. Please bring in food which will benefit Wayside Food Programs.

This year, we are collecting the following items:

Canned tuna
Peanut butter
Pasta sauce
Cereal
Kids’ healthy snacks (for after school programs)

Please put your food donation in the bin located in your homeroom.
